Ingredients

Scale
  • 250 g all-purpose flour
  • 30 g sugar
  • 1 tsp instant yeast
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 120 ml warm milk
  • 1 egg
  • 40 g unsalted butter, softened
  • 100 g cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 apple, peeled and diced
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 40 g flour
  • 25 g sugar
  • 25 g cold butter, cubed
  • 4 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 12 tsp milk

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. In another bowl, whisk warm milk, egg, and softened butter; gradually mix into dry ingredients to form a soft dough.
  2. Knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for about 30 minutes until doubled.
  3. Prepare the cheesecake filling by mixing cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Sauté diced apple with butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until tender.
  4. Roll out risen dough into a rectangle. Spread cheesecake filling followed by apple filling; roll tightly into a log.
  5. Cut into six pieces and place on a lined baking sheet. Top with crumble made from flour, sugar, and cold butter.
  6. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Drizzle with glaze made from powdered sugar and milk after cooling slightly.
