  • 8 oz lo mein noodles (or spaghetti)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup sliced bell peppers
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 cup snap peas or snow peas
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth or water
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • 3 green onions (sliced)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the sliced chicken with soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil for about 5–10 minutes.
  2. Cook the lo mein noodles according to package instructions; drain and toss with sesame oil.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together all sauce ingredients until combined.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a wok over medium-high heat. Add marinated chicken and cook until browned; remove from pan.
  5. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant before adding bell peppers, carrots, and snap peas. Stir-fry until crisp-tender.
  6. Return chicken to the pan, pour in the sauce, and simmer until thickened.
  7. Add cooked noodles and green onions; toss gently to combine and heat through before serving.
