  • 3 large carrots (about 450g)
  • 1 large kohlrabi (about 400g)
  • 1 tablespoon butter (approximately 20g)
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 200 ml milk
  • 100 ml broth
  • 100 ml cooking water from vegetables
  • Salt
  • Frozen herbs of choice

Instructions

  1. Peel and chop the carrots and kohlrabi into small cubes.
  2. Boil them in salted water until tender.
  3. In a separate pot, melt the butter over low heat. Stir in the flour and cook for about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Gradually add cold milk while whisking to prevent lumps. Then add the broth and simmer for another 10 minutes.
  5. If the sauce thickens too much, add some cooking water from the vegetables.
  6. Season with salt and herbs before mixing in the cooked vegetables. Serve hot.
