  • 12 slices Texas toast (or french bread, or challah, or croissant halves)
  • 1/2 cup salted or unsalted butter (1 stick), room temperature
  • 1/3 cup pumpkin puree
  • 3 tbsp maple syrup (or honey)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice

Instructions

  1. Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  2. In a baking dish, whisk together eggs, milk, pumpkin puree, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and pumpkin pie spice.
  3. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are coated.
