  • 3 cups water
  • 3/4 cup white vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons kosher salt
  • 6 small cucumbers
  • 8 sprigs fresh dill
  • 4 cloves garlic (peeled and sliced thin)
  • 2 tablespoons pickling spice

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine water, vinegar, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes. Cool the brine.
  2. Wash cucumbers and cut each into four spears.
  3. Pack cucumber spears tightly in jars.
  4. Tuck dill sprigs between cucumbers, add garlic slices and pickling spice.
  5. Pour the cooled brine over the cucumbers until full. Seal jars tightly.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 24 hours before enjoying.
