  • 330 g self-raising flour
  • 360 g granulated sugar
  • 360 g salted butter
  • 6 eggs
  • 30 g unsweetened black cocoa powder
  • 1½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 90 ml milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 400 g powdered sugar
  • Electric green food coloring (a few drops)
  • 250 g orange fondant
  • 200 g black fondant
  • 1 tbsp CMC powder
  • Sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Cream together the butter and sugar in a mixing bowl until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time.
  3. In another bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually combine with the wet mixture, alternating with milk and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour batter into greased pans and bake for 50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.
  5. For the buttercream, beat together softened butter and powdered sugar until smooth; add vanilla and food coloring.
  6. Crumble cooled cake into jars, layering with buttercream until filled. Top with fondant decorations and sprinkles.
